Exceptional print quality
MAPS – Mimaki Advanced Pass System
MAPS technology uses a special algorithm that eliminates the banding effect. The edges between one step and another are printed softly and with fewer ink drops, thus ensuring spectacular, high-quality prints even at the highest speeds.
WFC – WaveForm Control
The waveform control system allows for accurate positioning of ink drops. The ink drops are released at the right angle maintaining excellent drop circularity. WFC technology allows clear and uniform printing of letters, lines, corners and optimizes image printing even at low resolutions.
Variable Dot Technology
Variable droplet technology allows the printer to select three different droplet sizes (small, medium, large) depending on the printing mode. The system reduces grainy appearance and allows the printing of high-quality images with smooth gradients.
MFD – Mimaki Fine Diffusion
MFD technology reduces irregularities caused by dither through a hybrid process of modulation and error dispersion, thus improving print quality.
MCC – Mimaki Clear Control
The MCC printing system controls the polymerization of the transparent ink to prevent dust from adhering to the surface, giving the print a perfect glossy effect.
MIH – Mimaki Intelligent Heaters
The intelligent heating system improves ink and media performance and guarantees superior quality printing. The print media is kept at an appropriate temperature, so as to dry the ink quickly and avoid smearing.
MBIS – Mimaki Bulk Ink System
The MBIS system allows you to easily opt for a solution with larger ink pockets to be placed directly in the ink station, increasing productivity without impacting printing costs.
Uninterrupted Ink Supply System
The ink dispensing system, in the double four-colour configuration, uses two cartridges per colour. When the first cartridge runs out it automatically replaces it with the second of the same color, without any interruption in printing.
NCU – Nozzle Check Unit
The exclusive NCU technology automatically recognizes any clogged nozzles and activates to restore them, in order not to impact print quality and productivity.
NRS – Nozzle Recovery System
The nozzle recovery system replaces clogged or defective nozzles with intact ones, in order to guarantee printing continuity with the same quality, without impacting production and related costs.
Automatic Media Feeder
This function maintains optimal tension of the rollers even over long processes. It guarantees safe control of continuity and stability of material transport, up to a roll weight of 100 kg.
Automatic Media Clamp
This function automatically adjusts the pressure of the pitch rollers during the printing and cutting process, ensuring the best possible precision and processing without operator intervention.
Automatic Cleaning Function
This function allows you to set automatic cleaning of the heads after each printing process, to always guarantee the best print quality.
Automatic Wiper Cleaner
This function allows quick and effective cleaning of the wiper, prevents ink residues from causing contamination and facilitates daily maintenance of the machine.
Jam Sensor
This sensor built into the print heads detects if the material is warped or if the height of the heads is set incorrectly. It also prevents the print heads from hitting the material, reducing the risk of damage.
MDM – Mimaki Degassing Module
The degassing system eliminates air bubbles in the ink, prevents nozzle clogging and ink sedimentation, offering optimal results in terms of quality and printing productivity.
ID CUT
This feature manages the cutting of multiple jobs without operator intervention, saving time and reducing material waste. The optical reader detects the ID barcode and cuts automatically, ensuring alignment and rotation requirements are met.
CROP MARK DETECTION
An optical sensor automatically detects crop marks, so that printed images are cut accurately and precisely.
HALF CUT
The wide range of cutting functions allows you to cut the image leaving the back liner or a few seams, so that the image does not completely detach after cutting. Once processing is completed, the rear liner can be easily removed.
Corner Cut & Over Cut
These functions allow defined contours and cleanly cut corners, thanks to the superposition of the cut on the start and end points of the path.
