The Mimaki 3DUJ-553 is the first 3D solution to print with over 10 million colors, enabling photorealistic creation of signage, prototypes, parts, products and other 3D applications that previously required separate painting. With the UV LED curing method, objects can be printed in layers and a UV ink finish of approximately 22 microns applied using CMYK colors and varnish, producing a quality finished object.

The Mimaki 3DUJ-553 printer features fast start-up times and minimal energy usage, reducing overall running costs.

With 3DUJ-553 Mimaki introduces a new approach to 3D printing. The only 3D printer in the world with over 10 million colours, this system allows you to create unique pieces, prototypes, mockups and small-medium productions of great effect, reducing post-print finishing and the risk of damaging small detail parts.

Over 10 million colors

This equipment can print objects layer by layer by applying UV ink using CMYK, white and transparent in a layer thickness of 22, 32 or 42 microns, producing a finished object of excellent quality.

Control Chamber

The 3DUJ-553 has a monitoring camera that allows users to remotely observe the modeling status and follow the entire process without any surprises.

Stable operation

Continuous ink flow is possible when using a sub-ink tank. This prevents pigment deposits, air bubbles and ensures that the ink is emitted correctly, maintaining a stable printing environment with extremely high printer uptime.

Soluble Support

The 3DUJ-553 uses a water-soluble support structure. Removing the support material with water allows for the creation of highly detailed models without damaging the objects during the removal process.

FEATURES OF THE 3DUJ-553

Over 10 million colors

With its LED UV curing method, 3DUJ-553 is able to produce excellent quality objects by applying CMYK, white and transparent four-color UV ink layer after layer with layers of 22, 33, 42 22 microns. UV LED curing applies only a minimal amount of heat to the object. This technology offers fast start-up times and minimal energy consumption, reducing overall operating costs.

 

Color profiles

3DUJ-553 is the first 3D printer in the world to use color profiles. This means not only accurate colors, but also realistic color display on the monitor. Thanks to reliable color simulation even before going to print, you save time and reduce waste.

By implementing a color profile created with Mimaki MPM3 (optional) on Adobe Photoshop, the color can be simulated and controlled already on the monitor. the chromatic result of the printed object will be realistic and corresponding to the image, with great benefits in terms of working efficiency. The object is printed full color in one shot!

 

 

UV LED inkjet curing

UV ink solidifies upon exposure to UV light. Mimaki technology is based on layering UV ink, layer by layer, until the desired pattern is completed.

 

 

Simultaneous management of colors and support material

The 3D data is processed so that the printing of the ink and support material occurs simultaneously.

 

 

The added value of transparent and translucent effects

The use of transparent ink adds an additional effect to 3D printed objects, particularly if they are backlit. The combination of CMYK colors with transparent allows you to give free rein to your creativity by creating plays of color and effects with different levels of transparency.

 

 

 

Excellent performance in subsequent machining processes

The inks used by 3DUJ-553 contain an acrylic resin capable of generating resistance equivalent to ABS. This means that painting, drilling and screwing can be done without risking damage to the object. Furthermore, greater resistance to atmospheric agents, surface uniformity and solidity are obtained.

 

Water-soluble support material

3DUJ-553 uses a water-soluble support material that can be easily washed off with water. This allows the removal of the same even on extremely delicate objects, without the risk of damage.

 

 

Continuous production and high reliability

Continuous production is possible thanks to the use of highly innovative print heads that prevent pigment sedimentation or air bubbles and ensure accurate ink emission.
