With   cutting  pressure of up to 550 g, the CG-AR series cutting plotters have superior performance compared to the market average .

Cardboard cutting and creasing

The CG-AR series cutting plotters, in combination with  the  optional cutting table  and   cutting  sheet ,  can cut and crease cards up  to  A3  format .

ID CUT function to automate the production process

The innovative ID-CUT is a function that allows you to recall cutting data by reading a previously printed barcode. Data transmission is one-off, dramatically reducing labor for the printing and cutting process and increasing production efficiency.

HOW  IT WORKS

  • Creating  data  ,  settings and cutting conditions  in   Fine  Cut 9 
  • RasterLink software, included in Mimaki plotters, prints both  the  code and the ID image    
  • The   ID  barcode includes  cutting   and  rotation information​ ​​  
  • The  optical reader detects  the  ID barcode  and  cuts automatically ​     

 

 

Multiple cutting modes

NORMAL CUT: carving operation that leaves the coupled liner intact.

THROUGH CUT: the coupled liner is also cut to cut out shapes of the sheet.

HALF CUT AND THROUGH CUT: combination of two cutting functions that leave small joining points for the creation of cut-out and die-cut stickers.

 

 

Useful functions: Over cut, Corner cut and cut division

OVER CUT AND CORNER CUT

The Over-cut and Corner-cut functions ensure perfectly defined and cut contours without leaving cutting residues, even on thick  or  viscous materials , thanks to the overlap of the start and end points (Over-cut) and the abundance of cut near the corners (Corner-cut) .   

CUTTING DIVISION

When the cutting data is wider than the width of the sheet, thanks to this function the work is automatically divided and panelized along the X and Y axis direction.

 

 

Eccentric cutting technique

The   offset  parameter defines  the  distance between  the  tip of the  blade and the  center of rotation, allowing the optimization of  material dragging in order to obtain the best  possible cutting quality .    

DRAG MOVEMENT

  1. The  rotating blade stops  cutting   before  reaching  the  corner . 
  2. The pivoting blade  is rotated ,  moving to the desired angle , without  leaving  the  material .    
  3. After  completing  the  pirouetting motion , the  corner cutting continues.  

 

 

Pinch roller attachment points

Greater  flexibility in positioning  cutting  media thanks  to  new pinch roller  mounting  points .​​        

Additional grit rollers  provide more flexibility in media selection , broadening the range of achievable applications.       

 

 

Continuous registration mark detection

The CG – AR series cutting plotters feature continuous registration mark  detection   for  precise contour  cutting   .   

When multiple images are placed ,  this feature detects each  registration  mark and switches from one image to the next automatically to  ensure continuous and extremely precise  cutting  .        

An entire roll  of  printed material is cut  and  rewound without the presence of an operator , thus facilitating the production of large quantities.    

 

 

New feature: Windows Drivers ​

The standard driver for  Windows allows you  to  use the  CG-AR  series cutting plotters in the same way  as  standard printers for  Windows  Office  applications .     

At the press of  a  button you can  print  or  cut simple  templates or  captions from your Office application.

ID Cut

ID Cut is a Mimaki solution that prints cutting data in the form of a barcode between the registration marks of the images. On the cutting plotter, the barcode and registration marks are scanned by an optical sensor and cutting starts accordingly, without the need to send the cutting data separately, reducing human intervention.

Crop Mark DetectioN

This technology looks for consecutive crop marks and realigns the media accordingly, thus achieving highly accurate cutting on each image.

Half Cut

This technology combines “die cut” and “kiss cut” into a single contour, leaving a few connection points that hold the image in place after cutting into the media roll.

Over Cut

This technology cuts a perfect intersection at the beginning and end points in a single contour, ensuring easy vinyl removal.

Corner Cut
