The LA series laminators with Mimaki Vision Laminate films are the ideal complement to the print & cut systems with UV LED technology of the UCJV series. This system guarantees reliable performance and excellent results for processes where a protective layer is required.
Main features:
- Hot lamination for a superior finish: The LA series consists of hot laminators with a maximum temperature of 60°C. Heat improves the adhesion of the overlaminate film by reducing potential silvering, particularly on substrates printed with UV LED inks which, due to instantaneous curing, tend to have a slightly uneven surface which can trap air bubbles during the lamination process. lamination, causing silver imperfections that can compromise the aesthetics of the final product.
- High production speeds: With speeds of up to 295 linear inches (750 cm) per minute – or nearly 5 inches (12.7 cm) per second – the lamination step meets production schedules, reducing possible bottlenecks.
- Simple and Reliable Operation:Â This highly intuitive laminator combines all functions in a single operating panel and offers convenient access to the foot control and pressure handle. Furthermore, thanks to the take up unit, a single operator can easily control the entire process.
- Mimaki Vision Laminate:Â Specially designed for use with UV LED technology inks and LA series laminators, Mimaki Vision Laminate 310 (Gloss) film offers a thin finish with a glossy appearance, while maintaining the color brightness of the press. This high-quality, hot-overlaminated film is also a cost-effective alternative to cold lamination films.
